What is GDHR?

GDHR is a rolling programme of breakfast seminars by George Davies Solicitors LLP to assist those responsible for HR matters to improve and update their knowledge of the law and to provide an opportunity to network together.

Who is GDHR for?

Attendance is aimed at Managing Directors, HR Directors and Managers, Finance Directors and those with responsibility for HR matters.

Where and when are GDHR seminars?

Each GDHR seminar takes place at HSBC PLC, Spinningfields, Manchester, M3 3EB. Please click here to view on a map. 

Networking and breakfast starts at 7.30am, the presentation is from 8am - 9am.

The breakfast seminars are FREE but spaces are limited so pre-booking is essential. 21st November 2012 - Managing dismissals -  8am

During this final GDHR seminar for 2012, the George Davies' Employment Team will talk you through the options and processes available to dismiss staff on the basis of capability, conduct and SOSR (Some Other Substantial Reason), whilst keeping the risk to your business to a minimum.  

 

30th January 2013 - Focus on Whistleblowing - 8am

What systems do you need in place to deal with a whistleblowing complaint? How does whistleblowing differ from a general grievance? Practically do you know how you would deal with such an issue? What are the potential liabilities if you get it wrong?

 

24th April 2013 - A week in the life… 8am

We will focus on a number of tricky areas for the beleaguered HR professional including managing grievances, discrimination and having an off the record conversation.

 

18th September 2013 - Employment update - 8am

At this seminar we will highlight some of the key employment legislative developments and cases occurring during 2013. We will also give a “heads up” for developments to look out for in 2014..

 

20th November 2013 - Living with TUPE - 8am

A focus on case studies including the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006, and a guide to managing the employment issues in circumstances where there is a change in service provider or a purchase or sale of a business.
