Family – Pre-nuptial agreements and post-nuptial agreements

Wedding

With financial outcomes on divorce being so uncertain, more and more people are choosing to keep control of their own destiny by entering into pre-nuptial or post-nuptial agreements.

They are not just for the rich and famous, and are particularly attractive where either of you have been married before; where either of you have children from a previous relationship; where parents are planning to give financial help; or where you need to protect an interest in a company or partnership.

For a pre-nup or post-nup to work, it is essential that you get specialist independent legal advice. Although these agreements are quite new in England, our team has expert knowledge in this area having helped many couples and their families over more than 7 years. It can be a sensitive subject to discuss so we will ensure that the process is completed without creating any problems between the couple.

As well as helping marrying, or married couples in Manchester and the Northwest of England, we frequently work for people who live anywhere else in the country, or abroad, and a face to face to meeting is not necessary.

We have developed a guide which tells you all you need to know about pre-nups and post-nups, simply click on the link below to download.
